Tip #1: Go to Bed Early
Without a good night’s sleep, you’re going to be feeling at your worst in the morning – exactly what you don’t need on such an important day. But, getting enough sleep the night before you take your driving test can be much easier said than done.
So, help yourself out by staying off your smartphone or laptop for at least an hour before you go to bed; this will help you to settle. Do something relaxing, such as taking a hot bath or shower, drinking a mug of hot chamomile tea, or listening to classical music. This will help you calm your nerves and regain control.
Tip #2. Be Kind to Yourself
It’s perfectly normal to feel nervous the night before your driving test, so don’t beat yourself up about it.
In fact, now is the perfect time to show some self-love and be kind to yourself. Simple things such as repeating back positive affirmations such as ‘I am a confident driver’, or ‘I can pass my driving test’, whilst breathing deeply can help you to get your nerves under control.
