Its always fun to see what outfits other people are putting together for day-to-day. As much as I love a good outfit post, a solid 96% of them feel very forced and unrealistic. I mean really – you wore a hot pink tulle skirt and glittery heels on a Wednesday afternoon? Really? REALLY?
This outfit was actually picked out by Brandon. And when I say picked out, I mean I let him pack clothes for me for our trip to the farm and this is the outfit he tossed in my overnight bag – proving that this is a 110% real outfit that I wore, rather than a calculated, stylized ensemble. Not too shabby! Duke accompanied me for our first-ever Fashion Friday photos because he is an adorable colleague.
Also in this photo shoot is my beautiful new Jeep – Poppy! I had to show her off, seeing as I love her and she feels like part of the family. Now, on to the fashion! This jumper (sweater in some countries, including my own) was knit by my aunt in the 1970s as a gift for my mother. She passed it down to me. I only started wearing it recently, as I like the slightly cropped length – it feels trendy yet classic. It is also 100% wool and SO warm!
The plaid shirt is one of my and the Englishman’s favorites. Its from Zara, and if you know the story, you can laugh that I literally snatched this from another woman’s hands. My jeans are trusty J. Brand 620’s, which honestly need to be replaced but they have gotten to that wonderfully-worn-in stage and I can’t get rid of them, despite the rip in the knee and the fading.
And the wellies are, of course, Le Chameau.
