I’m a huge travel snob, and willing to come out and admit it.
“Hello, I’m Amanda. I like flying first class”
While flying first-class is a luxury that I am lucky enough to enjoy both for work (thanks, job!) and pleasure (thanks, massive accumulation of frequent flyer points!) there are all kinds of ways that you can travel like you’re in first class – without the multiple course dinner, unlimited alcohol and personal bed, anyway.
One of my favourites is this little kit called the Carry on Cocktail Kit. They are available in three different mixes for under $25 and will instantly upgrade your flying experience. All you need to do is pack this little tin in your carry-on, then order yourself the appropriate alcohol and mix and voila! Refined cocktails at the ready. This is absolutely something that I will be purchasing for myself for future trips in coach as well as for my husband, whose flights are often short-haul and not upgradable.
I’m preferential to the G&T, but you can also get a Moscow Mule and an Old Fashioned kit.
