I loved being a kid. I truly miss the days of not worrying about mortgage payments and the trivial (yet never ending) question of what’s for dinner. I don’t know. I never know. Obviously I’m not the only one reminiscing for the past as there has been a huge boom of things geared for the kid in all of us hit the market recently. I couldn’t believe how many adult colouring books were on the shelves at my local bookstore recently – and even more so for the fashion obsessed women out there in that niche.
Take, for example, the Fashion Colouring Book. Featuring designers such as Coco Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld, Miu Miu, Christopher Kane, Marc Jacobs and Alexander McQueen, the book features hundreds of outfits and accessories to complete and reimagine. You can also get books featuring cities, which is one of my favourites!
My other personal favourite? Where’s Karl?: A Fashion-Forward Parody, a fictional fashion bloggers’s take on the Where’s Waldo books that my brother and I would pore over as kids. Finding Karl Lagerfeld through fashion week shows in Paris sounds heavenly… And like something several people on my Christmas lists are getting for Christmas!
