Ever wanted more defined cheekbones? I sure have. Rather than trying to suck my cheeks in just the right amount in photos or get plastic surgery, I decided it was high time to learn how to use the age old contouring trick to better define my cheekbones. I got an invite to learn the tricks and see new palettes available at Sephora, and as a Sephoraddict, I couldn’t resist.
So what did I learn? I put it all together in a video for you!
In short, my top tips are:
- Get a good quality brush it will make all the difference. I loved Kat Von D’s Shade & Contour Brush so much during my lesson that I brought one home with me
- Blend, blend, blend… Then blend some more! I like the powder contouring kits because I have combination skin to not be too shiny. I use Anastasia’s Contouring Kit
- Practice makes perfect and make sure you check yourself in the mirror before leaving when you’re first getting the hang of things – I once left with a pretty hideous brown streak down my chin. Not refined!
If, even after all these tips, you’re still unsure – and not near your local Sephora – check out a new app that will map your face specifically and show you where to apply colors to best highlight your features.
