It’s the weekend! One of my favourite things to do on the weekend is something new to me… Taking a nap! I love to curl up on the couch with a blanket and read a book – it doesn’t matter if it’s a trashy romance novel or an insightful biography – and then inevitably fall into a blissful few moments of sleep. When I take that hour (or two) to lie down and relax, I get changed out of whatever I was wearing that day into my luxe lounge clothes and make an event of it with a cup of tea and a favourite candle lit. You may be thinking that this is completely unrealistic in your life, but you’d be surprised… Carving out some time for yourself isn’t something you should take lightly. It doesn’t happen every weekend, but even with a toddler, a dog, a busy social calendar and a husband who is constantly finding new projects for us to undertake, I make it a priority because I’m worth it. And aren’t you?
