The Met Gala – arguable one of the most glamorous nights of the year – was held this week. For the second year in a row, I was filled with disappointment. There were very few looks that didn’t evoke feelings of “W. T. F.” – although it was a difficult theme (China: Through the Looking Glass), some people just. Ugh.
HOWEVER! Some people did not just “ugh” – in fact, there were a few beacons of lovely shining hope that there may be some glamour in this world. Amal and George were glamorous but uninspired, however their adorable relationship made them worthy of this article. My favorite look was most definitely Bee Shaffer. Anna Wintour’s daughter wore a stunning Asian-inspired red gown with the most spectacular feathered bird down the train.
This gown was really spectacular, and worthy of more press than it received. The gown looks like a bespoke piece from Alexander McQueen. The embroidery, the colors, the craftsmanship – OOOOH its just couture heaven!
