I don’t pay that much attention to all the buzz that invariably comes up about celebrities and their accessories/must-haves. Mostly I don’t pay attention because I couldn’t possibly afford to purchase the drool-worthy purses on a monthly basis, but also because most “celebrities” are completely dressed, head to toe (and beyond) by stylists who are paid to endorse products by putting them on said celebrity. It doesn’t mean the celebrity likes a product necessarily, just that someone is willing to pay a lot of money to make it look like they do. Of course, there are exceptions to every rule and lots of very stylish women who accentuate their look with the help of stylists rather than let them define it, but it has jaded me from being all aboard the “latest celebrity obsession” runaway train.
That being said, I have a confession to make – I’ve purchased something that has been seen dangling on the arms of celebrities everywhere. A MyBKR water bottle.
You might wonder what is so revolutionary about a water bottle. To be honest, it’s not so much revolutionary as evolutionary – the water bottle is virtually the same shape and size as countless other water bottles out there (like the Sigg ones that were so popular awhile ago) but are made entirely of glass, and have a silicone sleeve on them. I’ve always hated drinking water from bottles as it either got that faint plastic smell from the plastic bottles (or I’d throw them in the dishwasher where they’d invariably become a yellowish tint) or a metallic taste from those Sigg ones, but since getting this water bottle, it’s like drinking water straight from a glass. It’s dishwasher friendly and 100% recyclable.
This water bottle has got me actually drinking water, and that’s a huge win for me – whether it’s the celebrity factor or not.
