I’m the first one to admit that I preach spending money on your clothes and buying quality over quantity. There is something very refined about having a wardrobe built of classic, sophisticated and good quality pieces that fit your personality and lifestyle well.
Then again I’m talking about the basics of a wardrobe. You know, the pieces that you’ll wear season after season and time after time. Every season brings with it trends that you can’t possibly be expected to drop lots of dough on as they are a fleeting moment in time. That’s why I like to budget a couple of pieces per season that are on trend but also on budget. I can wear them for a few months and then resell them while there is still a market for them and the trend has died. It’s how I manage to stay on top of trends while still affording things like a roof over my head.
This fall, here are some of my favorite pieces, all under $100.
