During New York Fashion Week, we were all excited to see the haute couture pieces from high end designers. Personally, I love seeing the living artwork of clothing. Designers light up the runway with exquisite gowns and outfits that we love, but aren’t fit for the streets. It is terribly difficult to take NYFW styles and translate them into real life. Kate Spade defied all that.
Kate Spade’s latest show was a beautiful example of high-end fashion for the every-gal. The styles were just a step above everyday, but could easily and effortlessly be restyled. And as soon as I saw it, I was smitten by this coat:
Do you love it?! I want it in my closet right this second. At the time of writing, it isn’t available for purchase just yet. Nevertheless, I am imagining all the outfits I will wear this with. In the colder months, I’ll pair it with skinny jeans, a black turtleneck and black flats. In springtime, I can see myself in this coat with a white dress and nude pumps off for Easter service.
The whole collection was absolutely darling, inspired by the Kate Spade New York girl travelling abroad. See more of the collection at WWD.
I found this really fantastic video of Brad Goreski and Deborah Lloyd discussing the collection and their favorite pieces. It gives a great look at the ensembles and the models. I love the inspirations of this collection even more than I thought I would!
